How to download Instagram Reels and videos on every device
On PC (Windows)

Video formats and quality on Instagram
Instagram recompresses videos when they are published. Reels are typically published in vertical 9:16 format and the available qualities depend on what the creator uploaded:
- 1080p (Full HD): the highest quality available on Instagram for Reels and recent videos; full sharpness on any screen.
- 720p (HD): the typical resolution for older videos or those uploaded on slow connections; a balance between quality and file size.
- 480p: the lighter option when the creator uploaded at low resolution or you want to save storage.
Instagram caps the maximum resolution at 1080p, so there is no 4K option on this platform. If you need downloads at higher resolutions, try the YouTube 4K downloader.
Is it safe and legal to download Instagram videos?
