VK Video Downloader

VK (VKontakte) is the biggest social network in Russia and across much of the Russian-speaking world, and with VK Video it's also one of the largest video platforms in the region: shows, lessons, concerts, finished live streams and short clips. What it doesn't have is a button to save a video to your device. With PullVid you paste the link and take the video with you as MP4, or just its sound as MP3.

Links from vk.com, vk.ru and VK Video (vkvideo.ru) all work, in their desktop and mobile versions, and so do clip links. If you already have the video on your device and need it in another format, the converter changes it in your browser, without uploading it anywhere.

How to download a VK video step by step

On a computer: open the video on vk.com or vkvideo.ru, copy the address from the browser bar (or click Share → Copy link), paste it into the box above and wait a moment. Pick the quality and click Download; the MP4 is saved to your downloads folder.

On your phone (Android and iPhone)

In the VK or VK Video app, open the video, tap Share and then Copy link. Open your browser (Chrome on Android, Safari on iPhone), paste the link here and download. On Android the video shows up in Downloads; on iPhone it lands in the Files app, and from there you can save it to Photos.

Videos inside a wall post

Many VK videos are watched inside a post, on a person's or a community's wall. The post's link (vk.com/wall…) doesn't point to the video: tap the video to open it full size and copy the address that appears then, which already carries the video (…?z=video…). That one works.

Quality: up to 1080p free

We download the video in the quality VK stores it in. The free plan goes up to 1080p, and videos that VK has in 2K or 4K can be downloaded at that resolution with Premium. If the video was uploaded in low quality, no tool can improve it: what you see on VK is the ceiling.

If you only care about the sound — a lesson, an interview, a concert — pick MP3 when downloading, or “Audio only (M4A)” to keep it without re-compressing. The file weighs a fraction of the video.

What you can't download from VK

• Private videos or closed groups: if VK asks you to sign in, be someone's friend or follow them to watch it, we can't reach it.
• VK music: songs in the music section are protected. What you can download is the audio of any video.
• Country-restricted videos: some rights holders limit their videos to certain countries and our server isn't in Russia, so they can fail even if you can watch them.
• Live streams in progress: a live stream can be downloaded once it ends and VK saves it as a video.

Is it safe and legal?

PullVid doesn't install anything on your device and doesn't keep files after the download. Downloading a public video to watch yourself, offline, is a common personal use. What isn't allowed is republishing the content as your own, uploading it to another platform or using it commercially without the creator's permission. Many VK videos belong to someone else: if it's not yours, keep it for yourself.
