1

Open the video pin in Pinterest, in the app or on the web.

2

Tap the three dots → Share → Copy link.

3

Paste the link in the field above and wait a moment while it loads.

The video is saved to your device, ready to watch offline.

Pinterest is a visual search engine: you save ideas, recipes, routines and tutorials onto boards. The trouble starts when you want to take that video out of the app — to watch it offline, send it over WhatsApp, or keep it handy while you cook — and there's no download button. With PullVid you paste the pin's link and take it with you as MP4, free and straight from the browser.

It works with the link Pinterest's own app gives you when sharing (pin.it), with the long web link, and with the one you get when you send a pin to someone. If it's the image you're after rather than the video, there are Pinterest images; and if you want to go straight to the format, the Pinterest to MP4 converter.

How to download a Pinterest video, step by step

On a computer: open the pin, click the three dots → ShareCopy link, paste it into the field above and give it a moment to load. Pick the quality and hit Download; the MP4 lands in your downloads folder.

On mobile (Android and iPhone)

In the Pinterest app, tap the pin, then the three dots and Copy link. Open your browser (Chrome on Android, Safari on iPhone), paste the link here and download. On Android the video shows up in Downloads; on iPhone it goes to the Files app, and from there you can save it to Photos.

Pinterest's silent clips, and why that matters

A large share of Pinterest videos have no audio track at all: they're GIF-like clips, sped-up recipes or montages meant to be watched in silence. When we detect that a pin is silent, we don't offer you the MP3 option — because that download would end in a file with no sound after making you wait for it. We'd rather tell you upfront than pretend there's audio where there isn't.

Idea Pins and boards

Idea Pins — the multi-page format — download just like a regular pin: their video comes from the same link. Boards are a different story: there's no honest bulk download, so they're saved pin by pin. It's slower, but you only take what you actually want.

Is it safe and legal?

PullVid installs nothing on your device and doesn't keep the files after the download. Saving a public pin to watch yourself, offline, is ordinary personal use. What isn't allowed is republishing the content as your own or using it commercially without permission from whoever made it. Whenever you're ready, download your Pinterest video.

Frequently asked questions about Pinterest

Does the app's short link (pin.it) work?

Yes — and it's the one Pinterest gives you when you tap Share, so it's what most people paste. We resolve it to the real pin for you: just paste it as is. The long web link and the shared link work too.

Does the video download with sound?

Yes, when the pin has any. Worth knowing: plenty of Pinterest clips are silent by nature — recipes, tutorials and montages made to be watched without audio — so for those we don't offer MP3, rather than make you wait for a file that would come out empty.

What about Idea Pins?

Those work too. An Idea Pin is Pinterest's multi-page format, and its video downloads just the same: paste the pin's link and pick the quality.

Can I download a whole board?

Not in one go. Boards are saved pin by pin: open the one you want, copy its link and download it. No honest tool is going to hand you an entire board as a ZIP.

Does it work on mobile?

Yes. Copy the link in the Pinterest app and paste it here from your phone's browser. On Android the video lands in your Downloads folder; on iPhone it goes to the Files app, from where you can move it to your camera roll.

Do I need to install an app or extension?

No. Everything happens in the browser: paste the link, choose the quality, download. No desktop software, no extensions, nothing to update.

Is it free?

Yes, and no sign-up. You don't need a Pinterest account or any subscription to download a public pin.

Can I download images, not just videos?

Yes. Paste the pin's link and we'll give you the image at its original size, not the shrunken thumbnail you see on the board. It has its own page: download Pinterest images.
