Privacy Policy

How PullVid handles your data: we collect the bare minimum. Here we explain what we process, with whom, the legal basis, how long we keep it, and your rights (GDPR and CCPA).
1. Information we collect
- Video URLs: processed temporarily for the download and deleted shortly after.
- Technical data: IP address and country, browser type and operating system, for security, abuse prevention, and statistics.
- Email (optional): if you buy Premium or sign in to your account, we store your email to manage your account and your access; if you contact support, we store your email and your message to reply to you.
- Payment data: if you buy, payment is processed by Gumroad (see section 4). We do not store your card details.
The content you process (video or audio links) belongs to its respective rightful owners; for any copyright matter regarding that content, see our Copyright Policy.
2. Information we do NOT collect
- We don't require sign-up or an account to use the download tool.
- We don't permanently store downloaded videos.
- We don't sell your personal data.
3. Local storage
PullVid uses your browser's local storage (localStorage) for your download history (kept on your device, not our servers) and your theme preference. You can clear it anytime from your browser.
4. Providers and third parties
We share data with the providers strictly necessary to operate the Service:
- Gumroad — processes payments as the Merchant of Record; it handles your email and billing data under its own privacy policy.
- Resend — transactional email delivery (your account access link and support notifications); handles your email under its own privacy policy.
- Cloudflare — CDN and security (abuse mitigation, content delivery).
- Hosting provider — the servers where the Service runs.
- Advertising (when active): we may show third-party ads to fund the free service. Those providers may use their own cookies; in regions where the law requires it, we'll ask for your prior consent.
5. Legal basis (GDPR)
We process your data on these bases: legitimate interest (security, abuse prevention, and aggregate statistics), performance of a contract (processing your purchase), and consent (email marketing and advertising cookies, where applicable).
6. Retention
We keep technical data only as long as needed for security and statistics (typically up to 90 days). The Premium account email is kept while your account is active or until you request its deletion; support messages are kept as long as needed to help you. Billing data is retained by Gumroad according to its legal obligations.
7. International transfers
PullVid is operated by AxiomTech (United States) and uses providers in the US and the EU. When your data is transferred outside your country, it is done with the appropriate safeguards required by applicable law.
8. Your rights
Depending on your location, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, port, and object to the processing of your data (GDPR), and to know what data we process and request its deletion (CCPA). We do not sell personal data. To exercise these rights, email [email protected] or use our contact page.
9. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from children under that age. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we'll delete it.
10. Security
We implement technical measures to protect the information processed, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and automatic cleanup of temporary files.
11. Browser extension
The PullVid browser extension is a simple launcher. It only reads the URL of your active tab, and only at the moment you click its icon or use its context menu, in order to open the PullVid website with that link pre-filled so you can download it. The extension does not run in the background, does not track your browsing, and does not store, share, or transmit that URL to third parties (beyond opening the link on our own website, which is the action you request).
It requests only the minimal 'activeTab' and 'contextMenus' permissions, and it does not collect personal information, browsing history, or analytics. The download happens on the website, not inside the extension.
12. Changes and contact
We may update this policy; changes will be posted here with their date. For privacy questions, visit our contact page or see our Copyright Policy for copyright claims.
