How to Download Pinterest Videos (Step-by-Step Guide)

Pinterest has no download button. You save a pin to a board and there it stays, inside the app: you can't send it to anyone over WhatsApp, watch it on a plane, or keep it open while you cook. This guide covers the method that actually works — pasting the pin's link into PullVid — and also what it can't do, which matters just as much.

Copy the pin's link (the short one works)

Open the pin, tap the three dots and choose Share → Copy link. What you get is a pin.it/… link, short and unremarkable. That one works: we follow it to the real pin for you. The long web link, the one you get when sending a pin to someone, and the country domains (pinterest.co.uk, pinterest.ca, pinterest.com.mx…) all work too.

Paste it and pick the quality

  1. Open PullVid in your browser, on mobile or desktop.
  2. Paste the link into the search field and give it a moment to load.
  3. Pick the quality you want from the ones shown.
  4. Hit Download and the MP4 saves to your device.

From mobile, which is where Pinterest lives

On Android, the video shows up in your Downloads folder and appears in your gallery. On iPhone, Safari drops it into the Files app; from there, long-press the file and choose "Save to Photos" if you want it in your camera roll. Nothing to install on either.

Why your video may come out silent

Here's the part almost nobody mentions: a large share of Pinterest videos have no audio track at all. It isn't a download glitch or your phone — they're clips made to be watched in silence: sped-up recipes, tutorials, GIF-like montages. When we detect that a pin is silent, we don't offer you the MP3 option, because that download would end in an empty file after making you wait. We cover it fully in downloading a Pinterest GIF.

Idea Pins work too

Idea Pins are the multi-page format, the one that looks like stories. Their video downloads exactly the same way: copy the pin's link and pick the quality. Nothing different to do.

What you can't do: the whole board

If you came looking to grab an entire board at once, the honest answer is that it doesn't exist. Boards are saved pin by pin: open the one you want, copy its link and download it. Any site promising a ZIP with the whole board either doesn't work or is using you to serve ads.

And if it's the image you want

Plenty of pins are photos, not videos. For those there are Pinterest images, which give you the file at its original size — not the shrunken thumbnail Pinterest shows on the board so the grid loads fast. And if you want to go straight to the format, the MP4 converter.

Frequently asked questions

Does the pin.it short link work?

Yes, and it's the one Pinterest gives you when you tap Share, so it's what most people have. We follow it to the real pin for you: just paste it as is.

Why does my video have no sound?

Because many pins are silent at the source: recipes, tutorials and montages made to be watched without audio. It isn't a download fault. If the pin has no audio, we don't offer MP3.

Can I download a whole board?

Not in one go. They're saved pin by pin. There's no honest bulk download from Pinterest.

Does it work with Idea Pins?

Yes, they download just like a regular pin: copy the link and pick the quality.

Do I need to install anything?

No. Everything happens in the browser, on mobile or desktop, with no apps or extensions.
