How to Copy a Facebook Video Link

To copy a Facebook video link, tap the ··· menu on the video or the Share button, then Copy link. On a computer, copy the URL from the address bar. With that link you can paste it into a downloader like PullVid and save the video.

What do you need the link for?

The link is the unique address of every Facebook video, Reel or post. Copying it is the first step to saving it on your device, sharing it on WhatsApp or sending it to someone outside the app. To save a Facebook video you need to paste its link into a downloader; without the URL there is no way to process the video.

Copy the link in the Facebook app (Android and iPhone)

The steps are the same on Android and iPhone:

1. Open the Facebook app and go to the video, Reel or post you want to save.
2. Tap the ··· menu (three dots) in the corner of the post, or the Share button below the video.
3. In the menu that appears, tap Copy link.
4. You'll see a 'Link copied' notice. The URL is now on your clipboard, ready to paste.

When you share from the app, Facebook usually generates a short fb.watch link; it's perfectly valid and works just like the long link.

Copy a Facebook link in the browser (PC or Mac)

If you're watching the video on facebook.com from a computer:

• From the address bar: open the video on its own page (click the date or the video), click the address bar, select the whole URL and copy it with Ctrl+C (Cmd+C on Mac).
• With the Share button: click Share below the video and choose Copy link.

How to use the link to download the video

Once the link is copied, saving the video takes seconds with the Facebook downloader:

1. Open PullVid in your phone's or computer's browser.
2. Paste the link into the search field (long-press and choose Paste, or use Ctrl+V).
3. Wait a few seconds for the video to be processed.
4. Choose the quality and tap Download.

You don't need to install anything or sign up, and you won't see banners or fake download buttons.

Common problems when copying the link

• You copied the profile or page link, not the video: copying from a user's timeline or a page gives you its general link. Open the specific video first and copy from there.
• Shortened link (fb.watch): this is the normal format the app generates when sharing and it works fine; you don't need to convert it to the long URL.
• It says 'invalid link': this is usually because the URL is incomplete or the video belongs to a private profile or group. Copy it again with ··· → Copy link and, if it still fails, see why you can't download a video.
