How to Download a Spotify Song as MP3
Sometimes you don't want to download an entire discography: just that one song stuck in your head, to listen to offline at the gym, in the car, or on a flight with no data. Saving a single Spotify track is quick and you don't need to install anything. This guide focuses on exactly that: downloading one song as MP3 with PullVid, step by step.
Copy the song link (not the album link)
The detail most people get wrong: you need to copy the link for that specific song, not the album's or the artist's. In Spotify, go to the song, tap the three dots next to it (not the ones in the album header), choose Share, then Copy Song Link. That link points to a single track, which is exactly what we need.
Download the song step by step
- Copy the track's link: three dots on the song → Share → Copy Song Link.
- Paste it into PullVid: in the tool's search field.
- Choose MP3: among the audio options that appear.
- Download: tap Download and the MP3 saves to your device.
Where the audio comes from
Spotify's original audio is protected with DRM and can't be extracted directly. That's why, using the song's artist and title, we look for that same track published on YouTube and give you its MP3. It's the same song, for your personal use; the only thing that changes is where the audio comes from. We never tell you we're downloading "the Spotify file," because that's neither possible nor honest. If you'd rather jump straight to that format, there's a dedicated Spotify to MP3 converter.
One song at a time
PullVid processes one track per link: you paste a song's URL, get its MP3, and repeat if you want another. This approach gives you control over exactly what you save. If what you're after is downloading several songs from a list, check out how to download a Spotify playlist, where we explain the song-by-song method in more detail.
Ready to listen
With the song link copied, the rest takes seconds: open PullVid, paste the URL, choose MP3, and download. No sign-up, no apps, and no watermarks on the audio. Remember it's for personal use: listen to it yourself and keep supporting the artist on their platform.
Frequently asked questions
How do I copy the link for a single song?
In Spotify, tap the three dots next to the song (not the ones in the album header), choose Share, then Copy Song Link.
Is it the same song as on Spotify?
Yes. Since the original audio is encrypted with DRM, we look up that same track (same artist and title) published on YouTube and deliver its audio. It's the same song, from a source that does allow the audio to be downloaded.
Can I download several songs at once?
No. PullVid processes one track per link. For several, copy each song's link and download them one at a time.
What quality does it download in?
Whatever YouTube offers for that song. We don't promise fixed numbers; for everyday listening the result is more than enough.
Do I need Spotify Premium?
No. You don't need a Premium account, sign-up, or payment — just the song's public link.
Use our free tool — no sign-up, no limits.
